A few days ago, a single judge of the Telangana High Court suspended the Telangana government’s orders allowing ticket price hikes for Akhanda 2. The same issue also affected other major Telugu films.
To avoid legal trouble, the makers of the Sankranthi releases The Raja Saab and Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu approached the High Court in advance, seeking permission for ticket rate hikes and special premiere shows.
The court responded positively and clarified that the earlier suspension applies only to films that were already released.
With this clear direction, the legal hurdles for both films have been removed. The final decision now lies with the government, which will review the requests submitted by the makers.
The teams are confident of a positive response and an official government order is expected to be issued soon.
